MC Rentz is a Twin Cities underground hip hop heavyweight. Rentz began rapping at the age of 12, and first began recording at age 14. In 2001, he met Phatty McGee and founded what would later become Loonatix Productions. As part of the group Lyrical Pedestrianz, MC Rentz began to form his signature style of flowing. His flows are raw and aggressive. In early 2004, Lyrical Pedestrianz began a transformation into what would become Ruthless with MC Rentz, Phatty McGee and the addition of Professor Fresh.

Also known as a producer, MC Rentz has produced many of his own beats heard on his debut cd "Atrophy", as well as the Ruthless albums "Deliciously Vicious" and "Strawberry." In early 2007 he also recorded an internet EP called "Emmit Smith" with fellow Ruthless MC, Professor Fresh.

In the fall of 2007, MC Rentz was nominated and won the award for "TC Best Kept Secret" at the Twin Cities Hip Hop Awards. His label Loonatix Productions also took home the award for "TC Best Label."

MC Rentz continues to grow and evolve. His latest endeavor is called "1981" and will be released on 6/6/08.
