Harvest time and drying
First of all you must know when it is time to harvest, Plants are harvested when the flowers are ripe. Ripeness is defined as when the white pistils start to turn brown, orange, etc. and start to withdraw back into the false seed pod.
Use a magnifying glass and observe the trichomes (crystals). If they are clear this is good because once they start turning brown the THC is declining.
The time of the harvest controls the "High" of the buds. If harvested early you will get less of a "stoney" or cerebral high. If harvested at its prime, you will get the most out of the THC.
When your plant is ripe, stop watering it and leave it in COMPLETE darkness for two days.
Next, harvest your bud! (if you need trimming or cutting tips just ask)
To properly dry your buds, hang by the stems in an uninsulated area like your garage because it gets more chlorophyll out of your buds. You know it it ready when you take a stem and bend it. If it is brittle enough to snap it is ready to be cured.
To cure, keep your buds in sealed tupperware container(s), burping air and turning the buds daily for two weeks.
This method will make for the tastiest and easiest smoke. Enjoy!
